February 10 -JM30 Level 1/Day 1: Out of Shape

LEVEL 1/DAY 1: Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred Program

When I first downloaded the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred Video, I watched the first level just to see what I will be getting myself into when I started the program on Monday (which is today). Looking it at it, I thought to myself "this will be so easy!" and started to regret that I bought the 2lb free weights. I wished that I had gotten the 3lbs free weights.

The workout is basically circuit training, combining cardio and strength training which, according to Jillian, burns more fat and calories while you gain more muscle!

After the 30 minutes workout? The 2lb free weights felt like 10lbs. Hahaha! The workout made me realize that I was really out of shape!

I will be completely honest though, I did about 95% of the workout. I did my best to do the form properly and tried to keep up with the gals in the video, but I had so much breaks. Jillian says it's OK as long as the rest period doesn't take longer than 5 seconds. I took 1 break to drink water. According to Jillian, my endurance will eventually build up so I will keep doing this!

I usually don't post photos like these because I really look big. I usually angle the camera to make me look thinner, but no more camera tricks for my fitness logs. Although, I have to angle when shooting for my beauty blog though. Ha! I indicated WEEK 3 because I started this program 3 weeks into my healthy lifestyle! I should be done with this 30 week challenge at WEEK 7.

I am actually quite proud of myself for eating healthy today... And no tofu chips! LOL I guess I got over that phase. I just have to ride them out -the cravings I mean. I am very inspired. I can't wait to continue this workout for 30 days because I get to challenge myself!
